Sitting opposite Victoria Park, at the junction of Tung Lo Wan Road and Causeway Road, a new “Art Gallery” has been born. Although PALLAS Piano School is not technically an art exhibition. The design exudes an elegant atmosphere capable of being such a space.

PALLAS was designed to be an artistic oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Hong Kong, enveloping the guests with classical music and ornamental pieces of artwork.

The interior ambiance is communicated freely to the passerby audience through the use of the huge floor-to-ceiling glass façade, presenting the unique identities of the host and guests on a pedestal.

The luxury interior designer cleverly utilizes lighting design to create a sense of hierarchy within the architecture of the school. This is grandly exhibited by the hollow spiral staircase feature, an elegant and simple design with the illusion of suspension in space, magnified by the placement of the light strips allowing it to resemble a sculpture on display.

The carefully selected pieces further enhance the creative ambiance of the piano school, embellishing an artistic layer on the existing musical elements throughout the design.

Each detail of the design has been carefully curated and processed, with each position and selection of the hanging artwork and decorations meticulously scoured through in order to enhance the artistic atmosphere of the design.

The master concert hall is a space designed not only for teaching but as an exhibition space for celebrities and artists as well. The spacious and bright interior can be adjusted freely to create endless possibilities for various exhibitions.

Continuing the conversation between the glass façade, the interior piano rooms are segmented by the same language. The voyeuristic nature of the design allows each room to become a concert hall within itself, communicating the emotion of music through a visual medium between interior and exterior even within the building itself.

The stunning floor-to-ceiling window design allows for natural light to surround the interior, piercing into the corridor and piano rooms. This creative decision cleverly reduces the fatigue caused by artificial light sources whilst cultivating a peaceful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Additionally to that, the glass has sound-proofing features which allows the display to be both aesthetic and functional.

Luxurious resting chairs customized by the father of modern design, Pierre Paulin, adorn the corridor parallel to the piano rooms. These chairs were specifically designed for the president of France Georges Jean Pompidou at the time, a timeless design reflecting the taste of the luxury interior designer.

In order to ensure the safety of children, the luxury interior designer proposed the concept of a unique circular piano room design. This not only allows for children to maneuver the space safely but also allows for a welcoming atmosphere in the room.

With the professional and dedicated help of the SOSA’s professional luxury home interior design team, PALLAS Piano School was successfully opened on July 23rd, 2021. Politicians and influential businessmen of Hong Kong gathered together to celebrate this momentous milestone in pianist Mr. Lau Sze Kwan’s artistic career. This design was even featured in Pin Zun magazine as “The Cradle of Pianists”.
