Art’s Mansion is a cozy apartment located in Happy Valley, Hong Kong. Tasked with creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in a space of approximately 100 square meters, the designer was challenged to efficiently utilize the area given. In order to do so, the luxury residential designer eliminated the maid bedroom and tool room by merging them together as well as changing the bathrooms’ orientation. This effectively lead to the creation of an open space with a beautiful view framing the Happy Valley Racecourse.
The user experience of the space is no longer restricted by any barriers, with the integration of spaces resulting in a harmonious flow throughout the apartment.
As a celebration of the fluid open space, the luxury interior designer adorned it with stunning stained glass partition door as an artistic feature within the apartment. The movement of the partition between the living room and master bedroom provides great flexibility in changing the layout of the property, opening the interior atmosphere to a multitude of possibilities.
The eloquent stained glass partition consists of multiple layers and shades of warm yellow and orange tones, surrounded by refreshing milky white panes of glass. This creative decision builds on the atmosphere of hierarchy surrounding this center piece.

Creating an intimate family life requires a welcoming environment, hence the cozy ambiance carefully cultivated by the luxury residential designer hopes to achieve this for her clients.
The luxury residential designer understood the clients’ need for areas of connection within communal spaces and created a continuous line of movement through bridging the open kitchen and bar area with the dining and living spaces. This furthers the harmony within the household and allows for more opportunities of intimate connection.
The picturesque scenery of the racecourse acts as the ultimate link, binding each element of the space together.

Subtle trendy interior elements are meticulously scattered throughout the design, emphasizing the modern atmosphere of the apartment.
One of which being a secret door leading the master bedroom into the bathroom, creating a unified space. The luxury residential designer cleverly introduced a full-body mirror to the entrance of the bathroom, reflecting the bedroom space and hence creating an illusion of space and depth.
The metal mosaic adorning the bathroom is uniform in color with prominent texture changes. The modernistic design style is amplified in the grey toned feature walls with elements of blue injected throughout.

Circulation slows within the guest bedroom, hence the proficient decision to share its bathroom with the living room further improving the efficiency of the small space.
Although the space of the bathroom is limited, the luxury residential designer utilized a twill mosaic wall design to create an elegant and comfortable space.
The couple is incredibly fond of their new home, which combines a modern interior design style with clever architectural features.
