Sky Horizon sits against Hong Kong’s most coveted skyline- the Victoria Harbor, with the windows of the apartment luxuriously bathing in the picturesque view. The luxury interior designer precariously wanted to encapsulate the aesthetic of Hong Kong- famously nicknamed ‘the Pearl of the Orient’ into the home. This apartment’s interior successfully communicates Hong Kong’s wealth and success through clever design decisions.

The elegant ivory utilized as the main tone of the apartment beautifully compliments the sea view of the space, acting as a guiding frame for the stunning view. In order to maximize the fortunate location of the site, the luxury home interior designer created an entire glass curtain wall running against the side of the apartment as well as hidden roller blinds to place emphasis on the cityscape.

A stage is created through the use of hexagonal marble tiles in the living area, creating a subliminal partition between the apartment areas.

The sophisticated chandeliers adorning both the dining and living areas were designed with German telescopic high-refraction glass, specially chosen by the luxury home interior designer. The materials utilized throughout the home were all meticulously curated by the designer, ensuring only the highest of qualities and best results. The design of the chandelier reflects the constant motion of Victoria Harbor, with generous arcs representing the waves of the water and reflectivity mirroring the sparkle of the sea.

The luxury home interior designer relied on materiality as an exhibit of the home’s splendor, with the white marble dining tables, translucent textured high chairs, and more. The bar located at the end of the apartment is not only a wine display area, but an open kitchen which allows for ample space for family entertainment.

Dreamy Huangshan landscape paintings by famous artists decorate the walls of the living room with picturesque scenery of mountains and water, mirroring the advanced cityscape of Hong Kong.

Luxury is achieved through simplicity, details, and timeless design.

The luxury interior designer placed heavy emphasis on these three aspects while designing the apartment, maintaining simplicity through the consistent white tone of the apartment. The details are key in the master bedroom furniture, embedded with champagne-colored metal frames and traditional decorative patterns.

The bedroom wall featured a piece of angel blue marble slab, reiterating the atmosphere of luxury in simplicity. The parquet floor acts as a bridge tying all the traditional elements together in a modern space, creating a warm and noble space.

Running along the corridor, glimpses of the scenic Hong Kong skyline can be seen reflected on the white wooden cabinet doors with ornate embellishments. The reflections bring life into the narrow and long space, creating a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere even in the furthest corners of the house.

The living and dining rooms are separated by a door frame made of white marble, inlaid with high-gloss and matte metals which create a beautiful effect when reflected by the interior lights.

The son’s room is embellished with natural-colored horsehair wallpaper and a phantom green marble window sill as a reflection of a garden interior, in a symbiotic relationship with the natural environment sitting directly outside the window. The study room not only is gifted a stunning view but is also a flexible space that can interchange between the living room, movie theatre, fitness room, and so on.

The seascape acts as a continuing language throughout the apartment, blessing each distinct functional area with a unique view. The luxury interior designer cleverly identifies these areas through differences in materiality.

The layout of the apartment was carefully designed to suit the routines of the owners, with partitions and open spaces meticulously planned in order to ensure comfortable living. The luxury interior designer utilized special glass to create sliding doors as partitions to divide the open space and allow for a flexible transformation of program areas.

Endless walls of white marble can be seen in both bathrooms, exuding the ambiance of luxury. The material widens the space and allows for natural light to bounce off the surfaces, illuminating the room. The natural textures and patterns on the marble allow for an inviting experience.

With SOSA’s professional luxury home interior design team’s work, the family was able to envision and realize their dream space where they are able to enjoy Hong Kong’s most coveted sunset view in their own home surrounded by magnificence.
