The property of St. Martins overlooks a beautiful picturesque scenery of the Tolo Harbor. The luxury residential designer wanted to embrace the natural view and to find a way to bring it into the interior of the apartment. This is first done through the use of sheer curtains, allowing the landscape to breathe into the space. The designer meticulously selected the natural texture adorning the walls of the home, reflecting the texture of the bay.

The interior designer continues this motif through inviting stone textures into the space, accompanied with built-in glass light strips to resemble the flowing water and illustrated mountains. The feature wall celebrating the television space mirrors the ground texture and natural colors of the landscape.

The partitions between the entry areas beautifully encapsulates the effortless rippling of water in a sheet of textured glass, decorated with delicate metal lines and unique shades of glass. This creative addition allows the view to still be involved in the space even when separated from the living area, blurring the buildings behind shimmering water. The same concept is repeated between the entry areas and the corridor, allowing light to seep through into the living spaces whilst maintaining a strong sense of privacy.

In order to celebrate the owner’s wine tasting hobby, the luxury interior designer specifically sourced and designed a stunning wine cabinet adorning rippling glass textures and multi-dimensional lighting. The design also acts as a slight partition between the living and dining areas.

The interior is carefully adorned with a selection of ornaments created by international masters and named brands. St. Martin acts as an exhibition for the owner’s luxurious taste of high-end designer brands. The curated collected consists of unique and extraordinary works, providing guests of the client with a memorable experience throughout the space.

Although unassuming at first glance, the complete sets of furniture in the apartment are custom pieces created by the Italian design house Poltrona Frau. Infamous for their timelessly classic and elegant designs, this furniture set charmingly elevates the interior space. The brand not only carries collections of modern furniture, but works hand in hand with the Ferrari Design Centre. Additionally, the ornate chandelier decorating the living room was created by a famous French designer, once again displaying the owner’s pursuit in life.

Each piece sitting in the home has been meticulously researched and chosen as the finest representative of the desired atmosphere of the space, including the customized artwork sitting in the dining area. The show-stopping chandelier piece titled “Circus” composed of artificially blown bubbles, intertwined with strands of rope, fills the space with artistry.

The detail oriented design decisions don’t end there, the luxury residential designer carefully considered the various needs within the dining area, as well as the owner’s desire for a classical space. These considerations led to the design of a retractable dining table which takes care of the need for family dining and large family banquets as well as retaining the space’s atmosphere.

A unique integration of a tatami room within the home creates a multi-functional space for the owners’ to utilize. The raised platform cleverly maximizes storage space, whilst providing a place of peace and relaxation for any programs to take place. To further the Japanese inspired atmosphere, lantern-shaped ceiling lights adorn the ceiling. The natural light is manually controlled through the use of shutters, allowing users to have complete freedom over the desired ambience.

When approaching the master bedroom, a sense of tranquility can be experienced. Walking away from the heavily adorned dining and living areas, simplicity and comfort is celebrated in this space. Celebrating the natural tones of the room, the wardrobe and dressing table beautifully compliments the room with elements of glass and glimpses of metal elements.

Lighting is crucial when designing a comfortable and serene environment, the luxury residential designer utilized thin and narrow light strips surrounding the area creating a softer atmosphere. The addition of electronic control of the lighting throughout the house allows all rooms to be adjusted and multi-channel controlled by users.

The ambiance can be felt in the study room along with a feeling of increased productivity, surrounded by the picturesque view and grand bookshelves. The space acts as an exhibit for the owner’s collections of books, souvenirs and medals of honor, even adorned with light strips to further highlight the collection.

The owner of St. Martin is constantly finding unique ways to display his pursuit in life, with the support of SOSA’s professional luxury residential design team, he realized his vision of his dream home.
